AFCAT-1 2025 Exam Notification and Details

AFCAT 2025(I) Notification:

Indian Air Force has published the short notification for Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) 2025 for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission (PC) / Short Service Commission (SSC) in Ground Duty (Technical and Non-technical) Branch.

Eligible Men and Women can apply online for AFCAT 2025 through www.careerindianairforce.cdac.in OR www.afcat.cdac.in.

AFCAT 2025 Online Application will start 1st December 2024. The last date for IAF AFCAT 2024 Registration is 30th  December 2024. Candidates can apply online through the official website or directly through the AFCAT 2025 Application Link given below.

AFCAT 1 Vacancy 2025

There are a total number of 300-350 vacancies for the various posts under the Indian Air Force through the Air Force Common Admission Test for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical), candidates who want to participate in this exam may check the reservation details for male and female downloading the notification brochure.

Educational Qualification:

  • Flying Branch & Ground Duty (Non-technical): Candidates should have achieved a minimum of 50% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level, along with a three-year graduation degree OR a BE/BTech degree with a minimum of 60% from a recognized university.
  • Ground Duty (Technical – Aeronautical engineering (Electronics)): Aspiring candidates need to secure a minimum of 60% marks in physics and mathematics at the 10+2 level and hold a degree in graduation/post-graduation in the field of engineering and technology from a recognized university.

Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026):

  • Flying Branch: Candidates should be between 20 to 24 years old (born between 02/01/2002 to 01/01/2006).
  • Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical): Candidates should fall within the age range of 20 to 26 years (born between 02/01/2000 to 01/01/2006).

AFCAT 1 2025 Exam Date 

The AFCAT 1/2025 Exam is all set to be conducted on February 2025 in the Computer Based Test mode, in which a total number of 100 multiple-choice questions of each 3 marks will be asked from General Awareness, Verbal Ability in English, Numerical Ability and Reasoning, and Military Aptitude Test.

AFCAT 1 2025 Fee

To apply online for Air Force Common Admission Test 2025, an individual will have to pay the application fee of ₹550 with the GST, an individual will be able to pay the fee using the debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.

AFCAT 1 Selection Process 2025

Selection process for the Air Force Common Admission Test (1) 2025 are as follows.
