  • With an unprecedented haul of 107 medals (28 gold, 38 silvers and 41 bronze), India set a new benchmark for themselves at the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China. It was the first time in Asian Games history that India’s medals tally crossed the three-figure mark.

  • India won the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Under-19 Championship 2023 after defeating Pakistan 3-0 in a dominating display in the finals at the Dashrath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was India’s eighth youth title in the SAFF championships, a clear testimony of their regional supremacy.
