Audi India New Brand Ambassador

Neeraj Chopra, India’s celebrated Olympic gold medalist in javelin, has been appointed as the brand ambassador for Audi India. 

Star Indian Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra finished second at the 2025 Doha Diamond League Men’s Javelin Throw event . Despite a record-breaking 90.23 meter throw, Neeraj had to settle behind Germany’s Julian Weber, who startled everyone with a final throw of 91.06 meters.

World Hydrogen Summit 2025

The City Rotterdam, Netherlands in which the World Hydrogen Summit 2025 was held.

Green hydrogen is produced  splitting water into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) through electrolysis   renewable energy sources like solar power, or via biomass gasification. 

Applications: Its use include fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs), industrial uses such as fertilizers and refineries sector, and transportation sectors like road and rail. 

National Green Hydrogen Mission: National Green Hydrogen Mission is India’s flagship policy to scale up green hydrogen, with a target of establishing 5 million tonnes of annual green hydrogen production capacity 2030. 

World Press Freedom Index 2025

India has moved up eight positions in the 2025 World Press Freedom Index, now ranking 151st with a score of 32.96, per the latest Reporters Without Borders (RSF) report.

Norway topped the index with rank 1.

Miss World 2025 Title

Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand was crowned Miss World 2025 during the 72nd edition of the Miss World pageant held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, Telangana. Opal was crowned the outgoing titleholder, Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszkova.

Vizhinjam International Seaport

 The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated Vizhinjam International Seaport, India’s first deep-water Transshipment Port in Thiruvananthapuram on 02 May 2025.
